Not too shabby

About a year ago, a friend emailed me from Boulder about Rose Hill Drive, who had heard about, but hadn't heard any music from. This past February, I was in Vail and they happened to be playing for one of Vail's outdoor (!) winter concert series. I was just wandering the pre-fabricated "old" streets of downtown Vail and I heard the sounds of what I figured was just a classic rock cover band. Sure enough, they were tearing into some sort of Led Zep tune, but I mean, they were TEARING into it. Plant, Page, Bonzo, and JPJ probably would have been impressed.

Well now these kids are really starting to draw some heat, which is good, because, frankly, this scene needs a true, classic rock power trio. And yes, that is meant as a blatant rip on Gov't Mule, who blow donkey balls. Rose Hill Drive are here. And until Cream makes that inevitable world tour official, this is who we've got.
