My bad

I know that I have been off my game worse than Bobby Weir recently and I promise that I'll do some more digging and hook you up with something good.

In the meantime, here's a little something in honor of our man, Jerry, who, if you're reading this, you know is dead. And he died 10 years ago. Of course, very little is being made of this anywhere in the national media. They wouldn't want to take precious media time away from Simpson/Lachey divorce rumors. I don't know about you, but I remember where I was when I heard that he had died. But I have to say there is nothing more boring than hearing about where someone was when some big event happened. "Oh really, you were eating a bowl of oatmeal and waxing your pubes when you heard the Space Shuttle exploded? Wow! How fascinating!!!" That being said, if you DO have an interesting story, by all means post them in the comments section below this post.

Anyway, this "Alabama Getaway" is from a show in Lewiston, Maine - home of Bates College - that my friend who went to Bates told me about. Apparently, this show happened during Bates' move-in day in 1980. Well, this town of about 6 people had no clue what had hit them. All of a sudden, there were students, parents, professors, and, of course, lots of wookies invading the tiny hamlet. Needless to say, I don't believe the Town of Lewiston ever returned a call from anyone named "Rifkin" ever again.

And do yourself a favor and download the whole show here.
